Nonaligned Movement consists of a radically stripped-down vocal/piano/guitar/percussion ensemble. Loops of improvisational jazz, primitivist guitar, and sub-vocal chants sputter and jerk their way forward. Vocals refuse to become coherent words or even coherent sounds. Acoustic guitar licks give out almost as soon as they start. Drum licks can’t decide if they’re worth the effort.

Nonaligned Movement is epic music for a failing world; the sound of a rune-giant stalking across the wilted landscape of a frigid planet beneath a dying alien sun. Reminiscent of US Maple playing acoustic set to an empty stadium in the twilight of civilization while the sun blinks out, their fingers freezing forevermore as the world becomes a pile of icy ash.
